It's an interesting picture: the caged bird, and a lonely one (probably a male) tries to court its own reflection. I like the physical looks of the haiku too.

again I loved this because the images provided an awesome visual of the bird looking into the mirror.

A poignant view of loneliness. In an attempt to court one of its kind a
caged bird offers seed to its mirror image. It's a true description of
caged bird behaviour. That bamboo cage is interesting too, the natural
material is still a prison. There is the frustration of natural urges
and perhaps an attempt at a pretence that another bird offers seed to
him.
