smell of timber--
a blackbird's song
in the rain

Odd G. Aksnes started writing haiku in February 2000, joining the Shiki-mailing list, which he found to be very amusing and educational. Then Odd found 'The Heron's Nest,' where Christopher Herold and, later, Ferris Gilli helped, and still help, him in developing the craft. Odd Aksnes lives in Tonsberg, Norway, 100 kilometers south of Oslo.
