new year
thick white snow
bends the old fence

Haiku poet, composer, and book artist susan bond draws inspiration from both nature and humanity. Her haiku have appeared in Acorn, Haiku Canada, Lynx, and Red Moon Anthology. Her artist book, River’s Edge (2000) is a collection of haiku and tanka poetry set to music. Another artist book, Flying Seaward (1998) is a 2-person renga by s. bond and jen jensen; it was displayed in The Art of the Book Show in Saskatchewan in April, 2004.
