Poetry & Haiku 17th Annual Contest

(1) Poetry of up to 50 lines, any style or subject
(2) 3-line haiku (does not have to conform to strict syllable count)
- Work which has been previously published, received awards or under consideration elsewhere is not eligible
- Entries accepted in either or both poetry and haiku categories

| Prizes: |
Poetry: $200, $60, $40
Haiku: $100, $40, $20
Winners and finalists get publication and one free copy of Penumbra 2004 chapbook.

| Entry rules: |
Submit 2 copies of poems on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and/or haiku on 3x5 index cards.
Send one copy with author's name, address, phone, email, and source of contest info.
2nd copy anonymous for judging. Important: include a brief bio of prior publications/awards (If first time published, we'll be happy to note it). |
| Prize Notification: |
Winners and finalists notified by postal mail no later than August 31, 2004. Other contestants receive personal copy of Winners List ONLY if self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) included with entry. Winners list published at TWA website. |
| Judges: |
Remain anonymous until selection of winners. Prior judges: Lola Haskins, Barbara Hamby, David Kirby, Donna Decker, Andrew Epstein, Keith Ratzlaff, Christopher Herold, Peggy Lyles, Elizabeth St Jacques, Randy Brooks. |
| Fees: |
$5/poem; $3/haiku. Send entries, fees, SASE for winners' list and book orders (in $US check or money order only) payable to:
